K.D. National Force Security & Investigations Agency (KDNFS) was founded in January 2013 by Kevin J. DiPatri following his retirement from the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) as a Captain after a distinguished 25-year career. Later that year, James Mullins—also a 25-year NJSP veteran who retired as a Lieutenant—joined the executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. Together, they bring decades of operational, command, and strategic experience to the organization. Throughout their careers with the NJSP, DiPatri and Mullins built enduring professional relationships with local, county, state, and federal government agencies, as well as public- and private-sector partners, institutions of higher education, school districts, health systems, and hospitals. These partnerships continue to inform KDNFS’s collaborative and intelligence-driven approach to security.

KDNFS has set the benchmark for school and workplace security by adhering to the KDNFS Standard—a commitment to experience, integrity, and excellence. Under this standard, KDNFS security specialists must have at least 20 years of law enforcement experience and hold the most rigorous industry qualifications.

More than 13 years after its founding, DiPatri and Mullins remain personally committed to safeguarding lives and creating secure environments where people can learn, work, and gather with confidence. KDNFS employs modern training methodologies, comprehensive security assessments, and emergency operations planning to ensure its specialists consistently exceed minimum standards and deliver exceptional protection across schools, offices, and infrastructure.
